I'm trying to search for playgroups or mom groups locally. Not message boards. I'm having hard time finding anything. Wondering if anyone knew of a website where I can search locally. Thanks for any insight!!

I met a great group on www.meetup.com and I also know some friends who've joined a group through www.mommyandme.com and www.mops.com. Hope this helps!

I would check with your local hospitals. Here we have several mom's groups that run through our birth center at the hospital. We have groups for all ages and stages and are lots of fun. Good luck to you!

Check on your local website - like most towns have a website with community listings on them (ie. www.buffalo.com, www.charlotte.com, etc.)
Or I'd look in the yellow pages for the nearest YMCA - sometimes they have different activities for moms and their kids. Or you can even try your local classifieds.

You can probably find some links at http://momsnetwork.com/ and also check moms groups on Yahoo....type in your city and see what comes up.
