I guess it also depends on how large you are. I'm slim and 5ft 4 in tall so maybe my skin would make an average sized ball...
don't try that one at home!

Your skin represent 12 to 15% of your weight. That is more than any other organ.

You have a lot more skin than you would think. Take a tape measure and measure the circumference of your bicep and the length of your arm from should down to the wrist.

Figure out the area...then just imagine how much larger than area would be on your leg or your entire abdomen.

It is, although it's not a main organ like the heart, which is why most people don't think of it at first. I have no idea about the skin ball thing, but you could try wikipedia?

Yes, the skin has all the nerves [for sense of touch, pain, heat, cold, etc]. It also has blood vessels to keep it alive and to carry
oils to the sweat glands. By the way, the skin has sweat glands.
The skin also has hairs that grow in the skin. The skin has a
layer of fat to keep you warm. It perspires to keep you cool. The
skin pores close up when it is cold to keep you warm. And the question is usually a trick question because most people think organs are heart, brain, lungs, etc.

Hello,

(ANS) Be a weird BIG sploggy mess of pink stuff on the ground though without skin. I'm glad I have my skin organs. Atleast I know where the world begins and end though, and what about touch be lost without that. And look how amazing human beings look within their skins? :-)

Yes, it is. Meets the definition of an organ. Hard to believe, I understand because it's pretty thin. And extremely important, we would not last at all without it, die of hypothermia pretty fast.
