Well...you do have some time to decide this, but maybe these suggestions will help.

-Remember that you will not always feel this exhausted. The first trimester can be brutal, but most people snap out of it a little in the second trimester.

-Is your job dangerously stressful? Are there some stress management techniques you could use to help (relaxation exercises, taking a break once in a while, etc.)

-If you do decide to keep working, become your own best cheerleader. One bad day does not necessarily mean you have made a horrible mistake by continuing to work. Sometimes a bad day is just a bad day made more overwhelming by the fact that you're emotional and tired. If you are miserable every single day, maybe it's time to re-evaluate.

-If quitting your job means losing your health insurance, think seriously before quitting. Having a baby is expensive when everything goes as planned - if there are any unexpected bumps in the road, it can become life-changing debt if you don't have insurance.
For whatever it's worth, I worked through both my pregnancies and it definitely had its ups and downs, but I also needed the money so decided to try to make the best of a so-so situation.

Good luck - whatever you decide.

This is a tough question. You didn't mention if you are married or not. I'm assuming since you work full time you have your own medical benefits. If you are going to change jobs you'll need to hurry up and do so because most companies have a waiting period before your new insurance is active. It can range anywhere from 30 days - 90 days. I wouldn't interrupt your health coverage at this point - pregnancy can also be viewed as a preexisting condition and you need to make sure you are getting prenatal care.

If you are not on your own insurance plan, then I would either quit to find a less stressful job, talk to your boss about the work load, or (if you can afford it) just quit altogether and find a job after baby is born (3 months/12 weeks) - the standard "maternity leave".

When you are pregnant you HAVE a fulltime job! Carrying your baby to term and being a pregnant woman is all the job that you need right now. While I suppose that there are women out there who feel the need (or the necessity) to work full time it cannot be healthy for them or for their baby. I know I always feel so guilty and so sad when the waitress is heavily pregnant and waiting on ME! I want to tell her to sit down and put her feet up! If you told me that your job was just the greatest thing in the world and was really making you happy that would be one thing. But you are saying that it is causing you stress. It is not good for you and my advice would be to quit as soon as possible.
If you can get along with less money then find a way to make do. If you really need the extra money I am sure that there are social service agencies in your area like there are in mine that exist just to help women in your situation. Pregnant women should not work outside the home, unless it is something that is making them happy, which in your case it is not.
Stay home and take care of YOU...this is one time in your life when taking care of yourself is taking care of your sweet baby! That is your number 1 responsibility!

Your stress level will likely decrease somewhere around 12 weeks of pregnancy. At the beginning of my pregnancy I was totally drained, it comes from the hormone surge you get in the early stages of pregnancy. You will likely feel tired, highly stressed, and sick to your stomach but once you start your second trimester you will feel alot better. If you need the money I would try to stick it out at your job. Work as late into your pregnancy as you can. You will feel alot more tired and uncomfortable once you get into your third trimester especially after 32-34 weeks. You may want to quit then or go on a maternity leave. Good Luck and Congratulations. :)

If your job stress's you out you should find another one. More laid back and fit for your life style. It will be hard, change is always hard, but if you really want to make money and work than u can do it. Don't work were you are stressed, there is nothing worse with that!

Chances are if you need to money, quitting and not having enough money will stress you out jusst as much. Maybe you could talk to your boss at work and see if you can switch to working part-time instead, or leave early.. usually something can be worked out to give you a better chance to relax.

Tell your doctor that the stress is making you feel sick. My doctor put me on disability because I was having twins and my boss was such a bi--- that I was afraid that I was going to lose the babies. You still get some money and you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

I wouldn't quit your job if you need money. I would keep that job until you can find a less stressful job. You do need rest... but if you need money it is important that you keep your job till you can find another one. goodluck

I would perhaps talk to you boss and see if there was a way to make job job less stressful or work less hours. I'm not sure what do you, so not suure if this would work for you!
