Okay so here's the deal: I am doing some checking into my boss's marketing and advertising. As It really has nothing to do with my actual job as I'm a legal assistant, and since I'm not very skilled in math, I need some help.

So far, I've found that he's paid $17,820 in advertising costs, and from those advertisements, and only earned $7300. So the ratio is 7300/17820. Now, he wants me to find a dollar to dollar ratio for this; e.g. $2 income for every $5 spent (2/5). How do I take these numbers and come up with this sort of ratio? I am only able to reduce the fraction to 365/891. Am I way off here? Can anyone help me?

Just divide it using a calculator. For every $2.44 spent he's receiving $1 in business.
