Yup. I was carrying it to put it into another room and it slipped from my hand right onto the hardwood floors. The CD rom drive doesn't work anymore, and it doesn't always want to start now.
It was super slow old laptop, so it wasn't the end of the world. It gave us a good excuse to go out and buy a new one.

Well there could have been some damages done.
But if all is working as it should you will be fine.
There could be hick ups,
Then reset it to a orior working date,
That did the trick for me.

I've dropped mine quite a few times and it was still ok. Best thing to do is take it to a computer repair shop and have them look at it just to be sure.

Look for any physical signs of damage, then: Go to Start > run > and type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes to run a system check. That's a start.

never know...mine fell off the desk once and amazingly was unscathed except a little knick on the side. I freaked out.
