The night of my breakup, i cry and grieve and flip on my bed with the pain in my heart the whole night. Finally, getting to sleep but woke up from a shock as if the news was just a nightmare. Then next day, i cry and laugh and go sing karaoke and drink till I vomit for few night. I keep looking for friends to go out, staying away from my home. Then things start to turn better after a week or so.

It's impossible not to think about it right after you break up. Nor should you try to forget that quickly. It'a a grieving process and it has to be coped with in stages. If you try to ignore your initial reaction and feelings, they will just get supressed but will come back later. So experience it. Cry. Mourn its loss. Wonder what went wrong and why it didn't work. Then after a few weeks, you'll think about it less. Coping just comes with time and acceptance.
Until then, you baby yourself. Go shopping, eat some good food, vent to your friends, go out socially as tolerated. Then one day, you wake up and think, "I'm ready to move foreward and look for love again."

you don't try to forget. you begin the mournign process.
you have to grieve through it, not forget.
allow yourself time each day to grieve and mourn.
maybe look at pictures, maybe just cry or write in a journal.
i know it is lonely at first. you can try sleeping with a pillow and other coping strategies. or join a divorce group.

one night I thought my girlfriend had left me. I started to pray..All the other ways to cope with that seemed useless..
I'm aware that it must be horrible to be dropped. The relationship I'm now is the first one of my life. i don't know what's gonna happen IF we split..

hide inside your former partner's car and jump out from behind the seat late at night with a letter of apology. continue doing this until the person comes crawling back.

Anything but staying home thinking about it. How about going bar hopping with your friends? Get a good book. Get in shape, get tired, run until you fall, shop 'til you drop......
