Valentine's Day is just another commercialized holiday that definitely not all women enjoy. I would much rather my boyfriend show me that he cares for me by doing little things throughout the year, whether it be helping me a few times with dishes or taking me out someplace. I would much rather celebrate our love on an ordinary day than on a day where the card and chocolate companies tell me to.

Because women like to feel special. Men care mostly about sex, so if they give women something great on Valentines Day, they will most likely get something out of it too...

men generally care so little about everything. lol. i personally dont care much for valentines day. i think ive celebrated 2 with my boyfriend of almost 5 years. our first v-day and then my 21st b-day(my b-day is the 13th of feb). it was sorta a double celebration...we went to niagara falls. otherwise, i couldnt care less. but i think its the whole romantic day thing that women go for. its one day of the year that is "romantic" and they can have candles and a cute present and flowers without guilting thier man into doing it. just a thought.

I don't care at all about Valentines Day to me it's an over rated holiday if you can even call it a holiday. It just gets blown way out of proportion with advertisements.

I could care less about Valentines Day. Its completely over commercialized and has lost any meaning it may have had originally.

Honestly, if a man puts forth the effort and time it requires to show love...'things' are not nessasary. Since most men (I repeat, MOST not all) don't truly CARE about anything about the woman past sex: The only possible way for him to show any kind of care or affection is to part with the thing that he most dearly loves...his money.

Women are embarrassed if they are not acknowledged in their relationship, especially if they have co-workers and friends who are being acknowledged on this day. I do believe that men also want acknowledgment but not because of their co-workers and constituents , they like to know they are special too.
