Why are Dems crazy enough to believe that their leaders are worth a darn?

Can anyone be more hypocritical than Democrats? They make believe that they care about the poor. But, REFUSE to show it seriously.

Kennedy and Kerry (1) are rich and give little to the poor and (2) never had REAL jobs.

Gates and Buffet may be dems.

But, why won't those top Dems in Congress stand up or shut up???????????

How can you EVER listen to someone say they stand up for the poor but are super rich tightwads?

First of all, a statement followed by a question mark is still a statement. Your "question" is just another effort to bash Democrats with no substantiation. You should try giving "sqat" about your wording.

Could you please tell us how you know how much Kennedy and Kerry give to charity? Good friends with their accountants are you? Believe it or not, some prefer to give without fanfare, so unless you have audited their tax returns recently, I'd like to know how you came to your conclusion.

For example, much of the Kennedy wealth is held in common trust, and the family as a whole does good works with its money. The most obvious example has been their longstanding support for the Special Olympics.

But your rant doesn't really deserve this kind of response. How about your other questions?

"Can anyone be more hypocritical than Democrats?" Sure: Republicans. They make believe they care about our soldiers in Iraq, but they force them into repeated rotations, they didn't provide the right armor or the right training for the job, and they didn't send them in the numbers the military experts were recommending. Then Bush came out month after month and said, "I'll send more troops if my generals say they need more troops. They say they're doing fine." Right. They also know what happened to the last general who testified before Congress about the need for three to four hundred thousand troops to do the job right. WRONG ANSWER! That poor guy "retired" within a month. I'm sure someone else is going to pipe up and ask for more troops again.

You want hypocrisy? Make it a lie. The Bush administration won't allow pictures of the flag-draped coffins returning from Iraq "out of concern for the families," even though many of the families say they would love to have the pictures taken and shown to the world.

You want hypocrisy? Make a list of all the Republican leaders of this war effort who served in the military. With Powell gone, it may well be non-existent. Cheney alone managed to get five deferments. When questioned, he says he had "other priorities" in those days. So did a lot of the 58,000 boys who died in Vietnam, Mr. Vice President.

If you don't believe Republicans have major issues of their own, and that the American people are catching on to this, then you missed the November election results and the continued polling results.

So you are intimate with the financial dealings of the Kennedys and the Kerry's. How nice of them to share that with you.

Of course Buffett and Gates were in the news about the enormous contributions they have made and God bless them for their work.

Just because there is no big news event doesn't mean people do not do their part for charity.

Please ask George and Barbara Bush how much their incomes were and what charities they donated to before criticizing those who you know nothing about.

Billionaires compared with millionaires all giving but billionaires give more, as they should, because of the amounts it is newsworthy to some.

If being an attorney is not having a real job plenty of people are in that position. That in mind please tell me what REAL job our current oval office holder has had that daddy didn't get for him. Has he ever washed dishes in a homeless shelter? None of those guys have. Why should they? Have you? I have.

Well next time you become intimate with the financial dealings of millionaires and billionaires please let the rest of us in on what makes them that way so we can be rich too. And please make sure it is detailed. We don't want to leave anything out. Be sure to highlight charitable contributions.

A. you have NO IDEA what they do... pleas prove that they do nothing, which you won't, because you don't care if you're wrong B. and you seem to be implying that they are as rich as Buffet and Gates... which is very silly... none of them have ANYWHERE the net worth of the two, so even if they did give a LARGE contribution, IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE anywhere near what Gates and Buffet did... and lastly... why don't those "moral Republicans" read the BIBLE and actually try to help the POOR as Jesus instructed?

I hate to rain on your parade, but Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are democrats. For that matter, Warren Buffet is often accused of being a socialist.

They give to the poor by fighting for them in Congress. Did you hear Ted Kennedy speak recently about raising the minimum wage? It was powerful and full of emotion and conviction. I suggest you check it out (though I doubt you will).

Of course, both Gates and Buffet are liberals who favor progressive income taxes and oppose a repeal of the Estate Tax.

unlike articchick, I need a source stating the donations of Kerry and Kennedy...they are both rich, and just like rich reps, they give their wealth away and get a nice tax break...BTW, you didn't think that Bill Gates was a republican did you? He , like many of us, are independent and our votes determined the huge losses for reps in Nov...
