I believe the way to succeed after 60 is pretty much the same as the way to succeed before 60.

In terms of working, the way I see it, a person 60 could have another 20 years to work. People over 60 do have knowledge and experience, and (unless they're not healthy) are pretty much as capable, if not more capable, as ever. (A study was done not long ago, and it was determined that the best drivers are people in their 60's. )

I'm not over 60, but my plan for when I am is to live my life without paying attention to my age because today's 60-year-old could have 40 more years to live with the way things are going. Besides, why should be over 60 rob a person of doing what he'd like to do or what he couldn't do at 40.

To me, one of the best way to succeed over 60 is to not allow a number (or even the reality of numbers) rob us of the opportunities and luxury of living our lives as if a long and bright future and the world still belong to us.

It depends on your definition of success. Some people who are older look at success differently than the average 20 year-old. ONe of the struggles for older people is social companionship. Friends die and there may fewer opportunities for them to socialize because of issues like disease, limited geography, etc. So, an older person's definition might be having a good network of friends while a younger person's definition may be making lots of money.

It depends on what you consider success. You probably have
already contributed more than you think to the world around you.
You sound as if you are a caring person to want to do something
worthwhile for our earth. What do you do best? What do YOU want to do. There is probably an answer in you. Good Luck to you.

Wish I knew. My grandfather is old stubborn and stuck in his ways. cant read and likes younger women. Some would say that's great, but I find it to be a very sordid life. How about trying to understand why you were put here, and preparing to meet your maker?
