Is TNA the new WCW?

I guess you could make that argument. TNA and WCW are both of the southern school of wrestling, while WWE has been a northern style wrestling promotion its whole existance. TNA is definatly the alternative to WWE, much like WCW was. However there are a few key differences to the brands.

1)TNA is run by wrestling bookers, WCW was run by a media corperation.
2)TNA pushes younger talent more then WCW did.
3)TNA does not try to compete directly with WWE, which WCW did, and insteed promotes an alteranive product.
4)TNA doesn't drop title belts to any old worker no matter how poor their talent is as long as they are over with the fans...wait are we talking about WCW or the WWE here?

Bottom line is that TNA is not WCW but it fills the void left by WCW.

I hate to say it, but TNA is well on its way to being the new WCW. There's so much potential in the young guys on that show and yet we are treated each week to boring, senseless speeches from the likes of Sting and constant match interruptions. I used to love Sting when I was a kid, but as soon as he went up into the rafters, his character got boring.

Also, they've managed to drag up a couple of the main reasons WCW failed in Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner. I can't stand listening to those guys. Luckily, they've been absent for awhile, but I have a feeling that with Vince Russo at the helm of creative, TNA is doomed.

well tna is starting to look like wcw there main eventers are mostly the ones how could not make it in the wwe sting is the one that needs to give it up i like tna but
