Start with silk cord, probably 1/8" in diameter. Make a "frog" at one end. (A frog are the fastenings you see on Chinese clothing, you would be making the knotted side for this). Sew the frog in place so it doesn't slip. Then leaving about 1/2 inch for connection, make a frog on the other end and sew that into place. You may purchase different diameters of cord according to your liking. Push one frog through each side of the cuff and there you are!
