If "immaturity" was an offense punishable by jail time, 2/3 of our country would be in jail.

Yea, planes from 9/11 came from Boston...so what? These same boxes were in NYC (hello!), and nobody went ape-****.

The boxes had been there for 2 weeks before anyone decided it was an "emergency." The same boxes were in 9 other cities, and they didn't go crazy, blowing the things up. Come on; it's ridiculous to blame Ted Turner for what some marketing agency did. But government officials have threatened to sue him...what a joke! Let the stupid teenagers go! They were just doing their job, and it had been ok'd by the city. It was the city's fault for not communicating that to the law enforcement before starting to blow things up.

You're right, Fed Ex, it's pretty ridiculous. From the reports I heard, the marketing firm did contact the city to get permission, but it was a little later than usual. So it seems like there was miscommunication between the agencies. That's not Turner's fault. They shouldn't be sued. I think law enforcement panicked because they didn't find them for weeks. I've heard "prank" and "hoax" used for this incident, but they're neither. They would be, if Turner intended them to be mistaken for bombs. Ricockulous.

Hell no! It was just a cheap publicity stunt.

Instead the Boston Police Department's commissioner should resign, along with the head of the BPD Bomb Squad, because the unbelievable stupidity of that department inconvenienced and terrorized 1 million people!

Doesn't anybody in the BPD have cable at home?

I dont know but what I would like to know is why in the other cities that these things went up did they not go all haywire and make it a terrorist event? I mean people put them up here in NYC and the police just went and took them down no biggy. Boston goes and makes it a terrorist bomb scare. These dumb little neon signs with their fingers up. Do they honestly think Bin Laden put up these stupid finger cartoon signs to make us lose our minds? Please lol.

If you actually saw what the boxes looked like, You would realize the person that called it into police should be punished.
