y = mx + b

m=slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) us any 2 pair of numbers
(7 - 4 )/ (2 - 1 ) = 3

y = 3x + b solve for b
b = y - 3x Use any pair of numbers

b = 7 - 3(2) = 7-6 = 1

y = 3x + 1 b is the y intercept, aka value of y when x = 0 and you had that anyway with the pair (0,1)
