im 20 weeks and feel like i have a urinary tract infection...my doctor sent me in for a urine culture, and put the code in for urinary tract infection. Does this mean they will only check for a urinary tract infection, i wanted to know because if it isnt a urinary tract infection, i need them to check for more.

Yes, that means they will only do cultures for the UTI. You should be able to call the Dr.'s office and ask for other tests.

Drink plenty of cranberry juice & water.

It sounds like burning, soreness or soreness once you urinate or suited after. you besides might sense such as you will possibly desire to urinate badly, yet once you flow it is in basic terms a sprint. Drink an outstanding sort of drinks with out caffeine. do not drink soft beverages. Drink cranberry juice (Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail has 10% cranberry juice that's the minimum) and take cranberry pills till you may get to the medical expert. the only thank you to be attentive to for particular is to get examined. If it is an infection the medical expert provide you antibiotics and a few pills that kill the soreness of urinary tract infections. flow to the medical expert! it is going to in basic terms worsen and then it is somewhat painful. Been there.

They will probably only test for UTI with the urine. If it's not a UTI, then blood tests are the best way to test for different infections. Just let the doctor do his job, I am sure they will do more tests (blood, urine or otherwise) if it's not resolved. Plus, UTI tests take like 1 oz of urine itself to complete according to the lab tech, so they may not be able to check for much more at once. Good Luck!

I am sure that if it doesn't show as a urinary tract infection, they will further then check into something else. If you have the symptoms of one, they need to rule that out first.

drink lots of water for 2 days in a roll I mean like 2 glass fulls every 30 minutes... your urinary tract infection will go away... because urinary tract infections come from dehydration and you are taking vitamins and need lots of water so your body is telling you it need water... also if you dont drink water you are more than likely going to get kidney stones.Take care of your self and your baby. ****************Lizzy******************

if he sent your sample in for uti testing, the test will show them if there is bacteria in your urine and it will also test for red blood cells, and your white bloodcell count in the urine.
there shouldn't be any rbc's in the urine, and if you have a UTI you will have a combination of bacteria and an elevated white count.

If he marked it UTI then that is probably all they'll test for. If its negative then he'll probably send you for more tests.
