I think it happened in 1985 and has been dubbed the 'Trojan Horse Incident.'
A truck was driving through one of the townships (possibly Crossroads at Gugulethu). A group of youths gathered and began stoning the vehicle. It was a police decoy, and from out of the back, numerous police officers sprang and opened fire on them.
