It's very unlikely he'd be interested. He has already influenced the entire world more than he could being President. The computer has had an enormous impact on the entire world, and he has said his company is also working on robotics now, too. I think he would be bored and frustrated being President. As head of Microsoft he doesn't have to deal with fluctuating politics, he can just go ahead and get the job done.
If he ran for President would I vote for him? It depends. I don't know how he feels about social issues, but I suspect on the business end of things he'd be better qualified than most people.

If he wanted to be, his hat would already be in the ring. But I would probably vote for him if he ran. I think he's too smart to want the job though. That's a tough job, and a thankless one, too.....they are always on the hot seat with somebody. And look what a toll it takes on them. Take a a look at a picture of any U.S. President on the day they take office. Then look at a picture of them after their first term. That's only 4 years, but they all look like they've aged at least 10.

Yes, he is bright and seems to be in touch with the people. He also runs a successful business which means that he knows something about working with a budget, managing people, and serving customers. I think it is time that the person at the helm started running America like a business.

Bill Gates will NEVER, repeat NEVER run for president of the United States, because I doubt very seriously that he has even the slightest interest in that job, and it only pays $400,000 a year. Bill Gate makes $400,000+ per day.
