I have been watching wrestling for over 25 years now and I don't understand why so many people hate John Cena. He is a good worker, can take a hit, not the best wresler as far as technical wrestling goes, but still better than most in the WWE. He did a great job during The Royal Rumble and still showed up to work the next day. And may I remind most people that he put The Big Show in an FU. Not once, not twice, but three times. The Big Show in an FU, HELLO is anybody out there watching. He has good mike skills. Jeez, he almost a total package, what else do you people want?

As you said before, he's not the most technically gifted wrestler in the world. For smarks like me, who have watched wrestling de-evolve from the likes of Curt Hennig and the Harts, it's painful to watch someone wrestle like the Ultimate Warrior. As a wrestler he's too predictable, plain and simple.

On the mic, he's highly overrated. It's obvious he's a lifetime wrestling fan because of it too. It's as if he immulates the Rock, and that's a turn off because people want something new, fresh, and original. Gimmick wise, in every aspect, he's a poser. He's not a marine, he's not from the inner city, he's a spoiled suburban kid who got his big break because his father pushed him like some sort of unbeatable force in his own federation, and no I'm not talking about the WWE.

As a fan, smarkness aside, he's a face that's gotten everything he wants. I like to see my faces chasing after the title, not holding onto it for a year, give or take a few week long runs from more gifted superstars like Adam Copeland.

To summarize though, you're just coming off of a bitter generation of Hulkamaniacs who are now realizing their childhood hero was possibly one of the worst technical wrestlers of all time, and now that we see a reincarnation of such a highly merchandised and pushed superstar in Cena, we take our bitterness out on him.

I'll be the first to give him props on his match with Umaga at Rumble, it was a great last man standing match, and both men gave their best in that match, but in no way was it a technically beautiful match. It was a spotfest.

I hope this clears some things up for you. By no means do I feel as if someone should be pressured for their opinion, but I really do dislike Cena, and for the most part, it's not Cena's fault. It's WWE's fault for pushing him down everyone's throats.

I think alot of people don't like him because he never paid his dues. He never went through mid card hell like many of the other greats in the past. His rise was more based on dumb luck finding a gimmick that got him super over with the fans. He is not a good ring worker, and the fact that you site him FUing the Big Show as prof of his ability just shows your ignorance. It was worked, think about it. If Paul White had wanted to sand bag, there is no way Cena could have pulled off that move.

John Cena's matches follow the same formula over and over. He gets his *** kicked, then pulls out a miricle victory from his *** using the same six damn moves. There are no dynamics in his matches.

One thing that pisses me off more then anything else is that not even other faces are aloud to get a clean victory over John Cena. Edge and Heymann had to interfere for RVD to win. What the hell. RVD has been busting his *** for over a decade without a world title run, the least he can get is a clean victory for his first one. Which brings me back to my first point, John Cena has not paid his dues.

I am a Army vet and I am a little offended with wearing the cammy and trying to be a Marine. He did not earn the right to wear that stuff and it bugs me a little.
I liked him a lot better as a heel, he was really funny when he would talk trash but he doesn't have the look to stay heal for long. I don't hate him but I don't think he has the "IT" factor that guys like Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair, Brett Hart, and the Undertaker had.

Yeah, Cena is a great wrestler in my opinion, but also everyone has their own opinions. different, same, whatever. The thing is not everyone likes everything. A lot of people adore John , but others hate him, that's the way it is. I also think people aren't giving him as much credit as he deserves, but again that's how things are, What can we do about it??? Nothing.
