Northampton. The Council has lost the plot. They are cutting down on all the amenities for youth and the disabled and are now threatening to stop supporting the local theatres. They are dragging their feet regarding giving planning permission to extend the football stadium and worst of all they actually turned IKEA away, so they went down the road to Milton Keynes. Oh and by the way, our Police Force are officially the worst in the country. Yes, this really is the worst place to live in England.

Bovington in Dorset. Not only is the whole place dedicated to the army but it is over run with rude and pervy squaddies who make my skin crawl!!! You are officially a nobody unless you have something to do with the army. I also have helicopters almost landing on my roof at various times of the night and can hear the tanks firing even though the ranges are a few miles from my house! It takes an hour to walk to the train station there are no buses and i dont drive! I'd live anywhere but there!

A few areas in Manchester were the worst places to live, such as Gorton, Moss Side, Salford, Harpurhey.

Hull is apparently the worst place at the moment (don't know why!), but the BBC claims Harpurhey was the 3rd worst.

There is something good in every place if you take the time to look and care about others. Look around you and you will meet nice people. It is the people that make a place a happy one.
