I would donate it to Shriner's hospital they have helped so many children including my Little brother, and in the end it's all about the children.

Charities typically have employees making huge dollars -- typically $200K and better, and the Big Secret is that most of the $$$ collected goes to salaries of people that are most probably wasting time (here) instead of "fighting" whatever it is they're supposed to... so, without hestitation -- the STRANGERS would get the $$$. Spread liberally, it would impact each of them in need immediately -- and your $1mil won't go to buying a new car, home or jewelry for office workers supposed solving something or other.

Establish an intrest bearing annuity, Non profit. And look at the long term goals of the bequest. Distribute the funds through the trust as you see fit. all the while the annuity would be growing and you can pick and chose which charitys that seem to be on the brink of no funds and decide if you want to enrich them.

Honestly, I would contact Oprah. If it had to be anonymous, I would use an attorney to make the contact. I would get the money to her for the work she is doing. The things she has put her hand to are some of the most important charitable contributions I feel that are being made in the world today! And I trust her. Don't you?

Give some to Samatian's Purse. (They're a relief organization).
