Hey there. Well I am 12 weeks pregnant and I started spotting last night and then it turned brown. I went to the emergency room and they did a culture of the blood. They said it could be a possible infection. They gave me antibiotics..a shot and a few pills.
An ultrasound was done and the baby is very healthy...174 bpm is a good sign. I am on best rest for a few days. The bleeding has completely stopped and I am going to my follow up appt. today w/ my OBGYN.

I feel that if I didn'nt go to the doctor, I possibly would have hurt my healthy baby, or had a miscarriage due to the infection.
Please go to the doctor...and let us know that everything is o.k.:)

Good luck dear!

Dont panic! But do call your doctor, there are many things that could be the reason for it happening. I've had it since I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, I'm 10 weeks now and they saw that its all caused by a little blood blister in my uterus, that leaks and doesnt cause any harm. I would make an appt. with your ob, but dont freak out about it! Good luck!

Oh, sweetie! it relatively is completely widely used! I doubt it is your plug.. heavily! I have been given it my finished being pregnant with Landon! And Already in this one, too! nicely technically it relatively is out of your plug.. yet once you're pregnant (maximum women persons) you lose it over the time of your finished being pregnant slightly. Your discharge would be like this a lot simply by fact of all the hormonal variations as nicely. no might desire to rigidity! there became into no blood in it, the superb option? If no longer you're a-ok! :) as nicely you haven't any longer had any preterm hard artwork warning signs, the superb option? I heavily doubt you have something to rigidity approximately in any respect.. I even have relatively undesirable, thick discharge.

u do not mention the period of pregnancy.

browinish discharge could be due to meconium( first faeces of the foetus)

the amniotic flud will be stained brown and it is usually due to the passing of meconiumby the foetus. and that would mean foetal distress.

and such a patient needs to be under medical observation.

it if it happens to be a term pregnancy then measures must be taken to deliver the baby if the brownish staining continues.

and all the while careful monitoring of the condition of the baby is also very essential.

Brown means old blood, so it is not as alarming as red blood. If you are almost due, it could be the start of your mucus plug coming out. If not I would call your dr asap, to check on this. Good Luck!

It depends. Sometimes its just that you need to slow down on things, stop stressing, and relax a little more.
