Most of the schools and daycares are closed here today due to the negative temps. I am regretting not calling off saying my Daughter's daycare was closed. I could have stayed home and been subjected to cartoons, but at least I would have been happy!

Karma! Some day you'll be rewarded for making the right decision. I would have done the same and then found out the boss didn't come in so it's like having a day off without him being here. More time for Y/A.

I just wanted to stay in my nice warm bed, but I got up and came into work.
Now I regret it. The heater broke over the weekend in our office and it is about 30 degrees in here now. Granted it's not as cold as outside, but this is ridiculous trying to work on a computer with a coat, scarf, hat and gloves on!

Calling off? Is that a sick day? My daughter is home today w/the flu. She has a fever. She was away at camp over the weekend and has slept now for about 20 hours. I think she did not sleep at camp, she and her jr. high girlie friends. I love being home w/her.
oh, and I am sorry to tell you that it's supposed to be about 70 degrees today- then cool off tomorrow, 60 maybe. :) What can I say? It's CA.

i do in indiana my high school aint got skewl caz of the temps wich is like the best eva! but ull hav to make up the day wich sux!

No, cold or not cold life goes on! When I was a kid we still went to school in the cold! Don't raise our kids to be cold wimps! LOL Teach them they need to realize there are decisions to be made and life must go on.
