No, because the child really can't enjoy it.
I think I would wait until 2 or 3 before i would do that.
My little man turns 1 Wed!

I wouldn't throw much of a big party for a one year old. Parties at that age are more for the parents than the child, and most kids that age get so overwhelmed and upset by all the hubub. Personally, I'd have some family and friends over for a little party - maybe a meal, but defintiely over for cake. Having a zillion people fussing over a one year old is a recipe for one crying kid. Not to mention - a one year old isn't going to be able to play the games or activities at Chuck E. Cheese's. I'd save that for the 4th birthday when they'd have a BLAST.

No way! For starters, the baby is much too young to enjoy any of the games and all the noise and the bizarre characters could scare him. And have you looked at how much one of those parties cost?
A co-worker was telling me last weekend about her grandaughters 4th birthday was at Chuckie Cheese, and it cost her mom about $400. That's crazy to spend so much on a birthday party, expecially one that the child won't enjoy.
My son's first birthday is on Saturday, and we have rented out a room at my uncle's church. We are having a little bit of appetizer-type food, and a cake. We won't be playing any games because there won't be any kids there the right age for them (the other kids there are mostly under 2), and won't be having any goody bags or prizes, because again, the kids just aren't old enough.
Wait until he's at least 3 to have something that big. These first birthdays are more for the parents than the kid anyway.
Good luck and Happy Birthday!

I personally wouldn't, why? Your child is still to young to understand that it's his birthday. They don't enjoy it, everyone else that is older will but the point is for your child to enjoy it. It's his/her 1st B-day right. Not only that, it's to many germs in those places and a 1yr is still building their immune system. Not to mentioned is expensive for your little one not to enjoy it. My son will be 1 in April/2007 on a Saturday, so of course everyone is asking and expecting a b-day party which I do plan on having but not that big and more then likely at home. I have another child and he had his 1st b-day at home too. I did not do Chuckee Cheese till he was 4yrs old and he enjoyed it as much as everyone else in his party that time. Will be doing the same with the new baby.

No. At that age, they're too small to play all the games. Chuck E Cheese is better for kids older than 4 or 5. For the first birthday, do something simple: a party at home or at a local park. Don't go all out. The kids get overwhelmed and don't know what's going on anyway.

No, what a waste of money for a 1 year old. He's too young to really have fun at a place like that. Just get together at someone's house or something. When he's 4 or 5, then do the Chucky Cheese thing.

For a 1 year old at chuckee cheese, he wouldn't have as much fun as the older kids. I think for his birthday, you should have a traditional party at your home. It will be a fun to decorate the house with streamers, he will be so happy to see his different colors and theme. That's where he will have fun at because he know its home. He can dig in his cake and make a happy mess. Make sure the camera ready. Happy 1st Birthday!

Chucky Cheese is okay. McDonald's does really cheap parties and they feed everybody. The most important part of a 1 year bday party is the cake. You have to give him a chance to dig into the cake and make a mess. It's adorable to watch and you get some bonding time after the party to clean him up.

A park. Skate rinks, zoos and all those different places don't have any attraction to a a million year previous in any respect. Chuck E Cheese is a waste of money and the ball pits and issues are dirty and finished of germs. shop it small, shop it effortless and shop it short. 2 hours is lots with prompt kinfolk and straightforward truthful to devour. Take a great number of images and performance cake. At one they don't favor huge crowds and affairs because it merely overwhelms them and creates melt downs the position there would not favor to be any.

That's so funny you asked. My son will be one in a few days and I wanted to do a big galore for him at Chucky Cheese too. As I began to plan for it, I thought wait, he won't remember this and I'll spend more money on other kids having fun while my baby will just sit there. I don't think 1 is an appropriate age. I would wait till he's 3 or older.
