Why are girls in glasses considered more ugly than those without?

well let me just say, most people consider EYES to be the windows of your soul. they speak the truth MOST of the time & reveal your personality. that's why they would think glasses cover such beautiful things, makes it "uglier" but it's not, sometimes people don't know other terms to use besides "ugly" because it's a common word. but no, men think women in glasses give them a more intellectual look, glasses help you speak for yourself more, they usually tells that you're an independent & strong, and you know what, if any man can't see the beauty of it, they ain't worth ****

you know, that is a good question. because some girls look much better with glasses than without. and glasses aren't such a bad thing to have.
but me personally I have grown up feeling ugly in my glasses. I wear contacts most of the time now, but gowing up for so many years being made fun-of for wearing glasses has lead me to hate days when I wear my glasses. I always feel nerdy and unattractive.

None of this is my personal opinion by the way... I think some girls even look better with glasses than without!

However it could be to do with the fact that wearing glasses is 'un-natural' (well you wouldn't find animals in nature wearing them anyway). And some people might view it as like... distorting your natural looks or something.

Or maybe it could be something to do with stereotypes and peple thinking that all girls with glasses are really geeky... although I'm sure if I non-geeky girl was wearing glasses surely you woul know she wasn't geeky.... Well I suppose some really stupid people don't!

But anyway I have a friend who really looks so much better in glasses as her eyes are reaally small and they sort of make them look a normal size >_<

Well I honestly dont think glasses are nerdy unless your wearing the nerdy kind ( like the big rounds ones) I have glasses but i have contacts and I think glasses are totally fine. And yah your right when ugly and nerdy girls where them but really i think some girls when they wear glasses lok better

Girls with glasses are not ugly, nor are those girls that have dark skin and try to wear super blu contacts and think its remotely natural looking. Beauty is within you and glasses are a solution to a serious problem, and the right glasses look downright sexy

Girls in glasses aren't uglier than those without. In fact, glasses can be hot. There are tons of sexy designer frames out there now which can make your peepers pop. My husband loves it when I wear my glasses, I think he has "librarian" style fantasies about me tearing my glasses off and throwing myself at him.

I have never seen a girl with glasses that didn't turn my head. And if your avitar is any indication as to how you look. There is nothing wrong with you.

Myself I like girls in glasses... gives them more of a business professional look.. which I like a lot also glasses still have a stigma of percieved intelligence (even though it makes no difference) but thats just what i like
