I used to babysit for family, but back then (10 yrs ago) I got $20 a night. I started at 7pm and went until the parents woke up in the morning.

Now its about 5 an hour, or whatever rate they are asking.

Good luck

I do not sit for such little children yet. i am 12. My sister is 16 and has. She says due to the age and the presence of toxic waste matter on a more frequent basis and the special requirements of caring for a newborn she would ask for 10 dollars an hour plu 5 an hour for each additional child being sat. And an extra 20 at the end if she had to change more than 5 diapers. Also a large stuffed crust pizza with mushrooms and black olives on it a 2 liter of pepsi a box of ho-ho's and 3 new release rental videos to be named closer to the time she was sitting.

We live in Idaho. We have just periodic sitters on a Friday or Saturday night. For that we pay $5/hour. I know that day sitters who are hired on a regular basis get about $20/day.

i babysit, and i would base it on how much work it was for the sitter. sometimes they'll sleep the whole time, and sometimes you have to feed them and change and so on. so ask for the report and base it off of that. i would start with about $5 an hour but it really depends on the baby's performance.

I pay my babysitter 150 a week. I think that's reasonable and considerably cheap. She does everything for my baby. He was with her from 3 months and he's about to be a year old.

when my son was that age my sitter charged 80 per week. That is actually kinda cheap thou since i brought all his food myself. Most in my area charge between 80-100 per week from full time care

Elaborate...is this for an occasional thing....or a daily thing. Makes a difference.

$10.00 an hour seems resonable.
