I took my minor in International Business so I thought I would comment since I took the classes. Basically, the classes are just business classes however you have international business law and other international history classes that you have to take. I think this major is better than taking just business. You get into more information as to how to market internationally and how to work in the global market - which is better for the future. The classes weren't hard, as long as you have a drive to take the classes. Some can get boring actually, therefore I mentioned the motivational drive that is needed. With most American companies going international, I believe that you should definitely take this major up - wise choice for the future. Job prospects, you get an upper edge on the job openings, because you have a wider education than a regular business major. However, I wouldn't say someone with better grades or more "real" experience is less of a candidate. Business is about the person - not all just education. Remember that with an international business major, you have to study a foreign language - so keep that in mind. An MBA isn't required however can always help you out if you don't have enough hands on experience. I would suggest getting your international business degree and then work for a few years. Then, you can think about if you want to proceed with an MBA. It all depends on where you want your life to go in the future and how many years you want to spend getting your education. Most professionals do their MBA program while working though. I tried to keep this information simple, hope it has helped out. Good Luck!
