awww.. that totally sucks.. life sucks sometimes..
you should of chit chatted with him and hinted that you were taking anxiety medication.. he is your boss and should know a bit about whats happening around you..
I understand you have no formal eduacation and would like to enter this field of work... and I am sure you were more then thankful for the oppurtunity he gave you... (I dunno how desperate you are for this job or career but...) I'd beg... beg, beg, beg... explain to him that there is no excuse for what happened and it will not happen again.. and you are fully commited and dedicated in working for him.
not sure if any other dentist will give you the same opportunity.. if another dentist considers you, you'd probably won't want to mention you have experience.. because that job reference ain't probably a good one..
life is a spiral.. yours will surely go back up..
good luck.. *hugz*

First: Go back to your Doctor and let him know about the medication. Do you really need to be on that high of a dosage? Is this the right kind of medication for you? Be smart about your health.
Second: Why don't you go to a school that teaches Dental Assisting. There are some really good accredited schools that teach DA. They have student loans and financial aid and other programs to assist you in going back to school. Learn the trade and make yourself marketable and find the right office to be in.
Third: Take a good look at the whole situation not just the one day... Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. If this dentist is moody and you loved what you did, you can always work for someone else. There is the right job out there just for you. You have to find it. Your life is not over. We learn from our mistakes and now you can move on to something that is going to take you onto a new path and new experiences. Good Luck and Remember: Today is a new day!

I would go and talk with him again, explain the situation. Let him know that you just started this medication, and didn't realize the side effects. He should not be able to fire you on the first offense. You tried to call him the same day and there was no answer, so you waited to talk with him the next day. I think if you really plead your case, he will give you anotehr chance. And if not, I am sure therer is someone else better out there that will hire and train you. Dont give up, and Good luck!!!!

Sounds like he didn't care to hear your explantion. You should find someone else and see if they are hiring a dental assiantance. They are a lot of dentist offices out there. Don't give up and don't be discaraged. Stuff like this happens just next time let your doctor know the dose was to high and you lost your job cause of it and ask him if he'd bring it down so it won't happened again. Learn from it and search for someother dentist office. This job wasn't meant for you.

Seroquel is not anti-anxiety medication. It is an anti-psychotic. And it has such horrible side effects that psychotic people refuse to take it. You just experienced one of those horrible side effects. What were your dreams like while you were sleeping on seroquel? Also, yes you were on too high of a dose. Your doctor should have read the instructions that come with seroquel. You never start at that high of a dose. You take like 25mg the first day and start working your way up to 600mg.
My advice is to get a new doctor. And to get your anxiety under control without mind altering drugs. Usually the drugs just make things worse.

I'm sorry to hear that. Why don't you ask your doctor to write a letter saying this is normal -that you can't wake up. Ask for another chance. If he still says no, then you just have to move on. If he is so unforgiving, you are better off working for somebody else.

Your manager change into at fault for leaving you on my own. The business business enterprise is wrongly run because even in a large food market, an experienced cashier has to call a manager in the type of topic

I think he should give you warning. You have doctor's paper, maybe you can go to a lawyer and see if you have a case of discrimination (either race or sex)
