A toothbrush and Comet

After seeing the carpet cleaning man steam the carpet and half of one of the tiles in my kitchen ( I have ceramic floors) I decided instead of spending all that money to have them clean it, I would do it myself. I took my clothes iron and did a "steam" job myself. Sometimes I had to use a toothbrush over the grout, but the steam from the iron worked very well. Just need your iron, an old toothbrush, some rags to wipe the water up with, depending on the size of your floor, may want some type of padding for your knees also! After doing that, I would seal it. Good luck!

You are NOT going to believe this but my wife "tripped" over the idea of using the Mr. Clean magic eraser sponge... unreal! We went through about 4 of them to do all our ceramic and marble floor grout back to bone colour original (about 500 square feet of 12X12 tiles). Really set-in stains like coffee were almost impossible but for those there's bleach and a scrubber brush. It worked really well and it was non-toxic and cheap! Good Luck!

White vinegar first on a nylon scrubber or sponge to clean tile, followed by a product called Finazzle - sold by Home Depot. Finazzle is the best grout cleaner I have used - simple and quick.

that white cement your relating is called "grout" and yep your now unlikely to sparkling it if its previous dried grout. if its a sparkling freshly laid floor you will get it moist and use a stiff brush on it. you could merely do this contained in the first couple days of the grout being put in, as quickly because it truly is cured you won't be able to get it tender back.

That's called "grout" and you should be able to find grout cleaner just about anywhere you can find floor cleaner. Once you get it all clean, you might want to think about sealing it with grout sealer so that it stays cleaner in the future.
