music is a part of civilization, if alien civilization is advanced enough the possibilities are strong they could have their own music. the opposite could also be true because if there are aliens without ears, wats music worth to them?

The universe is far too immense to think life could not exist elsewhere!

Intelligent life MUST be out there somewhere, however there are many factors which need to be just right for life to exist, so it probably only exists in 1 in a 1000 galaxies or more (thats my personal guestimation! ha)

as for music....thats very interesting.....life would have had to evolve as far as we have - I sure would LOVE to hear alien music! It would be so cool if we were to ever find a capsule or something (like an alien "message in a bottle") floating in space waiting to be found.....all with stuff about the planet it came from....including their music and TV!!

As far as life, Carl Sagan wrote, in the book/movie "Contact" that if there wasn't, it would be"an awful waste of space." As far as music, I think that's universal, but it may not be anything we could appreciate, or even hear for that matter. And to Edward, the Bible didn't so much say no, as not directly address the question, and that's understandable; at the time it was written, people could barely understand their own world, let alone anything from another one.

We will find microbial life on Mars at the groundwater table and in the atmosphere of Venus, related to Earth life via panspemia. We will find multi-cellular flora and fauna in Europa that will be evidence of a second genesis, and microbial life in Enceladus that will demonstrate a third genesis. When we can develope the technology to drill down a couple hundred miles, we will find life in the underground oceans of Ganymede and Callisto, related to Europa via panspermia. We will find stillborn pre-life on Titan at various stages of developement and will realize that the universe is teeming and pregnant with life as a natural occurance of matter. So the bible sez "no extraterrestrial life"? What bible are you reading?

I think yes. I beleive in the existence of other creatures. And when their existance is possible, ahving music is also possible. But what kind of music it could be is another more interesting question.

yes to both. i think aliens exist someplace far away, maybe not on our solar system but maybe in atleast 1 of the millions of solar systems. so if they exist then they ust make sounds so music must exist too. i think we just havent made strong enough technology to have seen the entire galaxy and space.

Of course. The infinite expanse of the universe has to have other lifeforms other than us. Music also. We give ourselves too much credit thinking that we are arrogant enough to suggest we are the only living beings in all of space.

That's an interesting question. Sometimes I would wonder but the bible said NO, so I'm just taking that as the ultimate truth.

To say there is not life on any other planet in the universe but ours is extremely egocentric.
