(thank god we have all tile floors!!) I pulled the machine out a little, took an old tennis shoe and wedged it in there and pushed the machine back in there to hold it in. What are some non-standard ways you have used to fixed unruly appliances?

The hose fits it and has a goosneck and everything; I just didn't have any tape, my boyfriend wasn't home to help, and I needed to fix it before I went into work. The floor isn't level and in turn neither is the washer- I just needed a temporary fix till he got home to do something about. So far, the shoe is working. :)

You need to secure the drain hose with plastic ties or by taping the drain hose to one of the fill hoses.

I used duct tape to keep a loose vent from sqeaking.... On your washer at the bottom, if you can tilt it up a littl, the legs will unscrew so you can level it up. The hose should not be doing this... take the hose out of the hoel and see if the person who previously lived there may have put someting down in the hole... the hose should stay in without the shoe...or tape.

It is the force of the water as it begins pumping from the washer that makes the hose come out. I used to have that happen. I tied the hose down and it's never happened again.

Is the hose too short? Is the machine moving and pulling it out? Is the pipe(drain) parly stopped up and creating back pressure? If you are just talking about making the machine not move when spinning, try a rug underneath or better yet a foam(very dense) pad.Lie maybe a shower stall grip pad.
