There are TWO issues involved which vary from State to State in the US.

The first issue is "age of consent" which is the minimum age at which a person is considered to be capable of legally giving informed consent to any contract or behaviour regulated by law with another person.

This should not be confused with the "age of majority," which is the age of criminal responsibility, or the marriageable age.

Each state will have its' own age limits and can be obtained by going to the individual state law!

Best wishes!

Here in USA, you are legal at the age 18, but you have to be 21 to drink, renting a car 25 yrs old. So depends what you want to do!

Depends on the state- in Nebraska its 19. and its different for different purposes. You can be an adult but not allowed to purchase alcohol until 21. I can not figure that one out.
