I have recently started a relationship a guy and we are spending V-day together. I want to create a special basket for him and had a card with a poem inside. I need some different sites I can check out.....any suggestions?

Oh dear god, stay away from poetry.com. They are a scam site (google "poetry scams" for more information.). You really won't find any good poetry there.

Blue Mountain cards produces some wonderful gift cards with poetry. You can find them at most card and gift shops. You would probably be better off with something like that than copying or downloading a cheesy poem off of a website.

Check out Voltage Poetry! It’s a really neat blog that posts kickass poems with epic turns, or points where everything in the poem shifts and becomes something different. They also post accompanying essays that discuss why the turns are so effective. It’s really helpful for analyzing poems and also exposed me to some awesome poetry that’s definitely worth a read.

Structure and Surprise is another great blog that posts articles and essays discussing and analyzing poetry, especially what makes poems surprising and exciting.

Pondrin.com is a good place to find love poetry. You can also share your own poetry on their too if you do write poems.
