I recently purchased a 55 gallon freshwater aquarium, how do I get rid of the smell of plastic in the water?

55 gallon freshwater aquarium.
Currently housing no fish
Added 6 plastic plants and 4 lava rocks

That smell will go away on it's own in a few days toa week. You can try washing the plastic plants in hot water and rubbing rhem gently with salt to help remove the residue that causes the smell.
