iPod software is designed to keep just one library on one login account, so if you got more than one iPod or someone updated their iPod using the same account, then i will delete the old record and will write a new record. so you need to keep just one iPod per account otherwise every time someone else update their iPod it will delete old (your) list and will write a new list. And new list is diiferent from the list it got in your iPod so it will delete list from your iPod...

in case you receive the songs from itunes, it will enable you move purchases, best click the ipod icon contained in the area bar and move purchases, you may favor to login with the account that made the purchases, and authorize the computing gadget.
