It's definately American, but I am not sure which state/states. been watching Bridezilla for the past hour and most of the girls on it have this really crazy accent. I've heard it before but not sure what or where. Example: Instead of saying "ask" they would say "Ayusk" pronouncing the "Ayu" part in a very nasul-y tone. Or another example apple = "ayupple" Yet again, the Ay is very nasul-y.

Sounds like a Northern Cities shift to me.... Big city in the midwest - Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, or similar.

Could be a Cajun accent, which means they're from Louisiana.

Sounds to me like Minnesota or the Upper Peninsula, eh? I haven't heard it, but from your description of "Ayusk", that would be my guess.
