architecture is an underpaid, underappreciated field of design. despite what people say (who don't understand architecture), it's not just the art of building. it's the art of creating space. everything around you was designed to cater your every move, to make it pleasing to the eye, and to make your surroundings comfortable. this is what architects do, they design space. to say architecture is worthless is to say we're perfectly fine living in boxed buildings.

Underpaid work made worse by an over inflated egotistical education system that seems to consider itself on a par with Doctors, Vets and Dentists! I mean please, I could have become an Architect in half the time it has taken, if only the toffee nosed hob nobs would move into the 21st century and embrace a more vocational approach. For gods sake we need more people who actually know how to build, not people that can theorise a building out of a piece of screwed up paper.

Architecture (from Latin, architectura and ultimately from Greek, "a master builder", from αÏÏι- "chief, leader" , "builder, carpenter") is the art and science of designing buildings and structures.
Please see the web pages for more details on Architecture.
