Football is a waste of time and energy.They could be doing tons of other productive things instead of running up and down a feild.

You must've lost your BF or GF during the game to say that. All sports are a waste of time - there's always something more productive to do than sports - that being said - why would you. Sports are fun. They are fun to play, fun to watch, fun to talk about afterwards. Overall it's entertainment. Something to do instead of chores, work, or being robbed down a dark alley. Football is not a waste of time, it's a gladitorial sport played in the modern era. It's for the sake of entertainment and athleticism that they play. Also let it be known that sports have been played for centuries before us - Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and Americans played sports and even before that chromagnon man played sports. So to say it's a waste of time would be like saying living is a waste of time. It just depends on what you want to do. If you want to continously work and slave - go for it. I'll take sports and activities such as football, soccer, hockey, basketball, baseball, frisbee, dog shows, and online poker. Also, let's face it - you could be watching the new episode of Survivor - Figi Island and still be wasting time as well. You might as well be athletic and strong in mind and body for it.

i don't hate it, it is fun to watch,especially if your home team is winning.
the big downfall about pro football and any other pro sports for that matter is the fact that some of these people are criminals, drug users and arrogant jerks and they are 'roll models' for our youth. Again I say "some" not all. And I do think that they are waaayyyy over paid. The teachers and firemen and (of course) police men, EMT and paramedics that keep us safe and protect us, should be paid more. No one deserves millions of dollars to be in any sport or to do any profession for that matter, the salary of these people border on the ridiculous. That includes the actors and singers as well.

Then why "waste your time" whining about it? Leave the football talk for the rest of us who enjoy the game.
