Were you embarrassed, happy, excited, or neutral by not having shoes to wear in school (or anywhere else for that matter)? Were your outdoor shoes/boots were too muddy or inappropriate to wear indoors? Were you ever forced to go barefoot in P.E. (gym) because you forgot your gym shoes? Were you the only person in socks or barefeet? What colour were your socks?

Only in PE, not because I forgot my trainers but we always had indoor PE barefoot. That's the norm here in the Netherlands, and it was a very strict rule, we weren't even allowed to walk three steps on the floor with our shoes on if we'd forgotten something inside. Either take off our shoes again or ask someone from the next class to hand it to us, but absolutely no shoes on the gym floor ever.

It was just normal, we'd always had PE barefoot even in grade school so I never gave it a second thought. I also never thought of going barefoot outside the gym, 'cause barefooting here is so rare, until I was 29 I'd never seen anyone barefoot apart from beach/pool/gym/back yard and the very idea didn't even occur to me. It was just something I never gave a moment's thought until I happened upon a website of barefooters and then I knew immediately I never wanted to wear shoes again. That's a little over ten years ago and I haven't worn footwear since (apart from a handful of times the first few winters).

No but I did walk around in flip flops. U don't know what kind of germs are on the floor in a school.

Clearly you have a foot fetish lol. No this hasn't ever happened to me and I imagine that most schools wouldn't allow this for liability reasons.
