NEVER. That is not good practice. The way to do it is to give a 2 week notice. I sat down and spoke with my boss after I handed her my resignation.
I spoke with HR and did all the necessary things.
This is the polite, correct and SMART way. If you leave someone without warning, it is not only unkind, you will NEVER be able to use them as a referrence. It will come back to bite you in the ***,for sure.

Yes,many times out of impulsive actions;out come disastrous as well as remunerative.I feel that we learn from our own mistakes.Dont be scared to do a mistake as you will work hard to rectify the mistake and in the process that work gets finished.Better wearout than rustout. This is the lesson I learnt and I am well placed than my colleagues who still are thinking of leaving their jobs after weighing pros and cons.

Yes, but it is much more admirable to walk in, tell them you won't be back, and why you don't like working there.

That gives them the opportunity to offer you more money, or fix the problem. This will ensure that you can get a good job elsewhere afterwards.

yes, but not during my shift.
I just didnt show up for the next shift.

I was hired back with my old employer with the understanding that I did not have to do weekends. (this was my second stint with this company and they called me asking me to go back).
After 6 months I was told that if I didnt start working weekends, my hours would be reduced drastically. Its called "Constructive dismissal" I needed my weekends off because of family.
So I just didnt go back the next shift.

yes i walked out of my job at a ski resort when i was 17, otherwise i have always gave proper notice. Remember that it looks better to give notice so you dont get a bad reference.
