whats the different between a midfielder and a striker?

The difference is that a striker plays full front, and is there for scoring goals.Middfielder plays the key role in attack, cause they are the conection between deffence and attack, they assist mostly for the goals.

a midfilder seems to play the hole field; is running back and forth to play offense and defense. a striker or a forward as i know it as, is always uptop recieving the ball from the back and scoring [or trying to score].
