Celebrity Big Brother contestant Jo O'Meara has said the "cruel" reality show should be axed by Channel 4.

Last week she issued a 900 word statement pleading for the public's understanding and claiming her life had been "totally shattered" by the Channel 4 show.

She told Sky News: "I feel if this is what a TV show does to people then it shouldn't be a TV show.

"I have got to pick the pieces up or I will end up going mad - more mad than I am.

"I don't think you can get much lower.

"They say you have to hit rock bottom before you can build yourself up. I just hope I'm at the bottom now."

She described the week since the show ended as "horrendous" and said she was seeing a behavioural psychologist.

I agree with Sofi, I thought she was being a drama queen when I saw it on the news.
There's something wrong with her because she was the one who said all those things and not the show.
There were and have been other people in the show who have not shown any type of behaviour like she and her mates did.
I also agree with Dreamer, she should have been interviewed twice to see if she really did think what she said was wrong or whether its only because there's been such an outrage about it.

how can people say such horrible things about Jo and the other girls and then say what they did was bullying. You are just as horrible as what you are making her out to be. I watched Big Brother Live many times and saw the real side of Jo, she had many hilarious moments which had me in stitches, but these were not shown on the mainstream program. I think she has every right to say everything she has, if Big Brother leaves people the way it has left her, it SHOULD be axed. I feel for her after seeing the real her. You people judge by the media, you just play along with everything it says.

Caught out as a bully...her comments since leaving the house show she has no remorse, it's all for sympathy.
I hope we've heard the last of her unless she has a change of heart after having a good look in the mirror, but i feel she is a long way off this. This is only my opinion but i feel the girl is either ignorant or arrogant...
I feel her meeting with the psychologist is to help her cope with public feeling being against her not to dig deep as to why she is so angry and bitter.
We all have to learn to respect others and we all pay a price when we don't...

Why has no-one sat Jo o'meara down and suggested that rather than the show be axed, she as an adult should have learnt to shut her mouth during her time on the show? This is a clear case of agents and friends and probably Jo herself thinking shes overly important, shes a celebrity and that above all excuses bad behaviour.......how wrong she was eh!

Jo was not shattered when she collected her paycheck! This is a lesson of money cant buy happiness. I watched several hours of the show and she is mostly guilty of not having a mind of her own. She took great pleasure in the oxox cube fight, now she is a victicm. The best position at this point is to humble oneself and hope the public forgive and forget.

What I can't understand is when she did her interview with Davina at the end she said she had been herself inside that house.. People had seen the real her.. And now she realises people don't like the real her so is trying everything possible to get herself out of it..
Nobody made her say the things she did at the end of the day she only has herself to blame and not big brother itself!!!

BB has surely served an invaluable function: To expose these manufactured 'celebrities' as vacuous self-centred look-at-me's.
I shall now look at BB from the position that the movers and shakers of the entertainment world are playing a game of set them up to knock them down. I know it's cruel and I shouldn't, but I feel thoroughly entertained by this idea.

She's just a stupid slag! Have you heard that Channel 4 are refusing to hand over unseen footage of Big Brother to the Police. Channel 4 have said that she was called a 'paki' twice in the house. This was shocking as I read it on Yahoo's news page. I bet you anything that it was Jo and Danielle who made these comments as you can expect it from them.

It's a blatant attempt to curry favour, now that she's made the biggest mistake of her life and was seen by millions as a bully.
She won't win me over with this cynical apology, that reeks of 'management interference'.
