The Silver Eagles are worth a dollar legal tender. Of course, anybody using them that way is an idiot for obvious reasons.

The Silver Eagle is the same size and weight as the Morgan and Peace dollars, and they are $1 legal tender also. You don't see anybody spending them as money either.

Just the way the government works.... If you or I ran our lives and households like the government runs its finances, we would dead due to starvation.

Crazy I know that they are merely a $1 but worth soooooooo much more !! Keep your eyes open as cashiers give you change... sometimes you can find good things in their till drawer and ask them to give that as part of the change as well.

I would have to say my collection is over 50% found rather than bought... so keep your eyes open !
