It could be true. A lot of the stuff the movie said (that the Revelation has begun) made sense.
There is really nothing we can do (other than having a relationship with Christ) because this has been set in stone for centuries. Just learn more about the Revelation, noticing more signs and become aware.
The Anti-Christ will be shot in the head, but live...that is how we find out who he is. After that he will start some sort of marking...The Mark of the Beast...it could be anything from the rumored implantation chips to "prevent identity theft" to getting specific tattoos to prove your loyalty. Oh, and the world will also become one undivided nation...
Read up about it. The books from the Left Behind series give insight. It's a fiction story based around "what if the Revelation happened today".

So you are basically asking us if there is a God...because if there isn't there logically wouldn't be an anti-christ either.
Troublesome question, truth is, I doubt anyone really knows...if you believe there is an anti-christ then the best protection I guess is having faith in God.
