If I ever happened to meet someone who was in a realistic position to donate One Million Dollars (or any amount of money) to me I would hope that they had already watched the movie "Pay it Forward".

Not because it might gaurantee them giving or me receiving any of the cash but more importantly to educate the gifter on the greater potential impact on themselves and society as a whole for such an act if done with wisdom.

Watch the movie or check it out on the net and make your own choice.

I say "if done with wisdom" because there is a belief I ran across that states...

"Something given for free has less value than that which is gained through effort"

Often times in the past when I have received gifts I had mixed feelings. I would celebrate in the moment for the good fortune but would be demoralized by my own self imposed attitude that I didn't deserve or need such charity, a stubborn belief that I could do it on my own, or that yes I really was in a bad position and embarrasingly needed the help but didn't know how to make the act a positive one to inspire myself long term with. I often felt sad that I had let myself get into such a position to need such help.

While all of these self degrading perceiptions were choices I made to rationalize the situation, it wasn't til I realized how much of an interconnected story that that was that I truely saw the empowered solution and hilariousness of it all.

To impact others with any gift is a guarantee but likely not in any way we can humanly fathom. What we do with it is based upon where we are at in our attachment to our stories of what the meaning of such a gift would be and how we interpret life.

Wether or not the ultimate answer that is received (as to what we would do with such a gift) is interpreted as a positive or negative is simply a continuation of more self invented story.
The answer is the answer just like the gift is simply a gift.

For example... When walking down the street I can give someone a $100 bill with disgust and potentially ruin their life by the harshness of how I do it, or not. I can walk down the same street and openly, intelligently connect with my eyes and heart to those I meet and make a much more positive difference in their lives, or not. I can reverse or disect any of these combinations of actions and still be left with the same outcome.

The choice is up to the observer.

So the answer to me is wether we are living in the story of what a million dollars means or not .

So when you ask...

"If I gift you US$1 million what will you do ?"

my answer is...

"I will be gifted with US$1 million"

I thank you for your question
and to those who have provided this space
for me to provide this moment's answer to it.

I have one final thought though...

With this knowledge comes a choice I find.

If I have the complete freedom and choice to react to this world and assit in the destruction of it, react apathetically to it, lend my voice, body, and action to the creation of beauty, enlightenment, tenderness, strength, courage, etc. in it, or do whatever I choose to in it then what value is this infinite option.

For me there is an answer and in so finding that answer I have chosen to repond to this question probably as a way of releasing myself from my attachment to the desired outcome of it... I will send it out to the internet for the same reason

I make my choice because that is the choice I have made...
may you find the place in space where you find the truth of your own.

I'd spend as small of an amount as possible researching which business to start that would bring the most jobs to an area. Probably would need to determine the area most in need of those jobs, but also had the skilled labor required to make the business successful. The balance would be divided between getting the business going and saving enough to invest, ensuring that it wouldn't close anytime soon.

Attempt to pay off my student loans and then go on a long camping trip in the wilderness. When I get back I will figure some way to spread the wealth to benefit others too.

Pay all bills and creditors . Start a new business to teach children the values of the earth . Wildlife, birds, butterflies, gardening . Natural ways to promote growth through organics . And then, of course, the conclusion of that work... the HARVEST . Self-worth, and confidence to go on and do it for themselves . I'm gonna do it on a much smaller scale anyway, but this would ensure that the program would have a great chance for success . Thanks for a nice question . You allowed me to dream a little !!!

Say, "Thank you!" Take you out to dinner.
Invest some of it, give some to my favorite charities (ones that fight sex-slavery and injustices throughout the globe), buy my own home and head back to school. Oh, and take a vacation to Scotland. I've always wanted to see Loch Ness.

the first thing i would do is set up a trust fund for my niece Casey she is autistic and her parents work hard but she is going to graduate soon (in two years) from high school there is a special college program that they'd like to send her to in our community but they lack fund's she'll never be able to hold a job or live alone so I'd set up a fund for her to go to the college and than for living expenses to help out my sister and brother in law and if there was any left I'd buy a house big enough for my dad to come live with my husband and i and our two kids (right now we live in a small two bed room town house i love it but my dad is trying to sell his house my mom recently died and he's lonely he lives in a cold weather climate and would love to move to Florida with us ) if after all this (I'd but a house in the range of 180 to 250 thousand) there's any left I'd bank it but i don't think i could get it to stretch much further than Casey and a house i have no idea what it would cost to set her up for life but i promised them that if i ever could do it i would

I would take my parents on a nice vacation. Buy them a new house. And get them great medical care. The elderly shouldn't have to spend their last years worrying about finances!!
