Depends on the computer you have..
During the reboot process.. Try hitting one of the following keys.
Del
Esc.
F-8
F-10
The second your computer starts up.. Start hitting one of those keys.. But only one at any given time. If your windows comes up and not give you the option of safe mode. Reboot and try it again. It may take you a couple trys to get it.

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps.
Restart your computer, and when the Boot menu appears, press F8.
When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select an option, and then press ENTER.
When the Boot menu appears again, with the words "Safe Mode" displayed in red at the bottom, select the installation you want to start, and then press ENTER.
Some people have problems getting into safe mode by this method for whatever reason. Here's a harder, alternative method.
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type msconfig in the textbox and press ENTER
4. Click Boot.ini tab
5. Click /Safeboot option
6. Click OK and reboot
You will reboot back into safe mode. Once you are finished, reload msconfig and do the following to get back into regular mode:
1. Load msconfig (as above)
2. Click General tab
3. Click Normal Startup
4. Click OK and reboot

I have done this so many times on my old comp lol, its just remembering it. It's all about timing. Press F8 when there is only that black background with white writing, just before the Windows XP or whatever loading screen appears. Then choose safe mode. A lot of the people here seem to have got it right, but as I said, its a matter of timing. Good luck

let your computer restart after you press restart. When your computer restarts, you generally see a black DOS screen when your computer boots up. Start prissing F8 at that time and dont press and hold that key. Gently stroke that F8 key when yhou see that DOS screen. After that, you will see the menu of booting with command prompt, normal windows or Safe mode. Just select safe mode and you are set.

If you are having problems with f8
turn on the computer
When the windows logo screen appears turn the computer off.
You may need to hold the o/o buton in for a few seconds
When you restart, windows will tell you that it did not load properly last time and give you the safe mode choices.
No Problem.

While the computer is starting... hit the F8 key repeatedly a few times and you should be directed to a page which allows you to choose to boot in safe mode.

As soon as your computer starts to 'boot up' , press F8 about every second or so. This should get you into Safe Mode. (On some PC's you have to press Delete).

This really depends on your computer. It could be either
F8 or F5.
To do this rebot your computer and keep pressing these keys untill you get a list of options highlight Safe Mode. and press enter. then wait and then you will need to enter your username and password.
Hope this helps you
