Hellow' everyone, Does anyone knows how can I transfer data from a Laptop (dell) to a PC (HP), I'm going to restore my laptop because of an error, but I really don’t want to loose all my data (files, m p3, videos etc.) I really don’t want to burn them all in CD because it will take me about 10 of them not a memory stick. So is there a way to transfer it using some kind of usb or something? is it possible?

Thank Ya'll for taking you time.

2 possibilities in case the laptop is still working
- USB to USB datalink cable (the supplied software has a similar screen like the Windows Explorer).
- make an adhoc network with a Cat5e Crossover cable. it can be done using the network setup wizard.

otherwise get a 2.5" notebook disk enclosure, remove the disk from the laptop, insert it in the enclosure and hook it to your desktop PC (not even a driver is needed if you're using XP).

you could network the two computers together and place all of the files you want to move from the laptop into the laptop's shared folder. Then when using the pc, navigate to the shared folder and drag and drop all of the files you want from laptop to the desktop computer.

You will need a switch and two network cables to set up a quick and easy network. It is pretty easy to do.

try a usb key with bigger size or use network share.
OR
burn it to two DVDs, by doing so you have a backup copy and no longer need to worry about your music files.

hoping you're on XP, as document sharing in my opinion is alot extra ordinary, upon getting linked all to the router, precise click on a folder you want to percentage and click sharing. Now on you're different computing gadget bypass into your community community and spot in case you'll hit upon that computing gadget, then get admission to that folder. If this does no longer paintings, you could to bypass into the community card settings on both machines and turn on document sharing
