I thought girls are suppose to shave their legs, i do and have been since 4th grade (i am in 9th grade now) But i know of a lot of girls that dont shave there legs! i mean i understand this one girls reasoning (she is a lesbian and she wants to be a guy) But i dont understand any other reason! And i thought guys like girls that shave so y do these girls that dont shave have bfs?? Plz help this is sooo confuzing to me!! :-/

some parents dont let there daughters shave there legs i know my mom didnt let me shave my legs till i was in high school and we are hispanic and i think that has alot to do with it.... she also didnt allow me to wear any makeup till i turned 15

There is no rule that says "girls are supposed to shave their legs" Its a personal choice, some girls may not need to because they have light coloured hair or very little of it. Another reason could be that they have very sensitive skin and cannot shave their legs without going through extreme itchyness and discomfort afterwards. It's just the same for men, not all of them shave their face, do they?
Also the hair is there for protection, If we didnt need it why would it be there?

You do not have to shave your legs if you don't want to. The only reason women do shave is because THEY LIKE how their legs look when they shave. Winter time especially many women don't shave as they are wearing pants the whole time anyway as it is cold outside. Shaving has nothing to do with whether or not they have a boyfriend because if the guy really likes you he will accept you for who you are not whether you shave your legs or not.

It really depends on the girl. Usually the reason they won't shave is their parents won't let them, religion purposes, or just personal preference. I personally think it's kinda gross, not shaving their legs at that age. But thats just how we were raised. plus we probaly have different morals and values than the girls that don't shave. And the guys probaly like the girl for who they are and their personality. maybe they haven't noticed the legs...yet. but sooner or later, a great majority of girls will start shaving, and they'll live happily ever after... hopefully :)

Where Im staying, it doesn't really matter whether uve shaved or not. Though,a shaved leg looks better when u wear short clothes. But there r other things guys r attracted to such as the girl's personality and nature.If ur talking about looks, they may like a girl's face, her figure, her eyes, her smile, maybe it doesn't really matter if she hasn't shaved. Its not a permanent thing.
Maybe the girls don't like to shave because they don't want their hair to grow thicker. If they r happy with their body and comfortable, then what can we say? Why don't u do waxing or something like using a hair removal cream instead of shaving?

Some girls just don't like taking the time to shave all the time. Others might have parents that won't let them shave yet or have cultural practices.One of my friends just hasn't started to shave yet. And not all guys like girls that have hairless legs.

Psh, I shave my legs, when I have time, lol. I mean in the winter I try to as much as I can but I'm a busy chick and don't have time, and I wear pants anyways. But in the summer I shave em' everyday. Most girls don't have time to worry about stuff like this, and you should just worry about your legs.

If you never shave your legs even one time and have light colored skin the hair will stay soft and blonde. Once you start shaving it turns bristley and black. Some girls like to wait as long as possible before making shaving a daily chore.

Personal grooming habits are just that --- PERSONAL. This means that if YOU personally don't want to shave your legs or your pits or whatever, YOU don't have to.
Women have been dictated to by society for so long that things like PERSONAL grooming have become a public standard.
Do what YOU feel comfortable with...and everyone will be happy.

It is a personal preference. If the hair on their bodies doesn't bother them or their Bf's then it isn't an issue. You prefer to be shaved that is your choice. It really is a personal choice and not a "supposed to" kind of thing.
