Yes it can be done, there is a product called VX 6 that may help but in my opinion, unless there are no new ones available where you are, it's a waste of time.
Batteries fail due to age and sulfation as you know. Some can be restored by dumping out the old acid, washing out the material from under the cells, and replacing the fluid with fresh acid. All of which is dangerous to eyes and hands.

Just to get a clunker working for a few days is silly. It is time to recycle.

why be bother doing that if you can get a new one? if you buy your battery in costco, as long as it is a kirkland battery, no matter how old it is, you can get it replaced without doing those hassle.

unless you are in such a hurry or in an emergency situation, you need to have a back up plan. my husband carry his jumper cables and quick charger. since some driver is skeptical to be offering assistance, their car might not be able to handle the boost. plus some are not being a good samaritan to help others who are in dire of needs.

Almost any auto parts store has a chemical additive to do that. Call them up and find one. Best of luck.

Don't bother. It won't work very well. get a Sears Diehard or new Interstate battery and call it a day.

you can use a battery charger, but if you don't already own one, you'd save more money by buying a new battery

Try charging it. Maybe you can buy an accumulator charger if not try to connect it properly to the accumulator charger.
