when you get an on line insurance quote you put your reg in and it gives the details of that car :-)

The only way I know is to use an insurance website - if you enter in you numberplate as if you are looking for a quote it will come up with what car you have.

Go to DVLA website and look under the car tax section. There is an option there for seeing if the car is taxed. Type in the colour and reg of the car and it tells you the model and when its taxed until xxxxxxx

I agree with the answers, use an insurance quote but don't trust it . I had a BMW 525 i SE and several sites said it was X which is four wheel drive version, mine definitely wasn't. Which in turn gave me a false quote (dearer) . Check with the DVLA.
