Fast Times at Ridgemont High
The scene where the kid is in the bathroom is from FTRH, it was with Judge Reinhold and Phoebe Cates
great movie if you haven't seen it you should. Sean Penn, Anthony Edwards, Forest Whitaker, Nicholas Cage (not in it much) as well as Reinhold and Cates

It reminded me of 2 movies...
Clearly "Fast times at Ridgemont High" the whole pool bathroom scene is exactly the same...so that's a no brainer...
The lawn mowing scene reminds me of the Patrick Dempsey movie "cant buy me love"
great video...
p.s. In the Sopranos, Tony buys a decorative fountain from the Fountains of Wayne in Wayne, NJ.....

well it has a lil bit of fast times at ridgemont high as well a bit from the white snake song with kitty katane dancing on the top of the car

i don't get 'fast times at ridgemont high' being the inspiration. in 'valley girl', this one chick has a HOT mom and she was obviously playing this one kid which the mom's daughter had a bad crush on. i would have guessed that one
