i am applying for a D&T teaching job in london, if any teachers out there please advise me, was it the right decision.

If you like kids and are willing to commit to do whatever it takes to teach them all you know, then yeah you will go for it.

The only problem is that once you get into teaching, it is nearly impossble to get out of since you will love the job so much.

Maybe is the best answer I can give you as teaching in London doesn't pay enough to buy a house in most parts of the city. If the school provides cheap housing and if the school helps with the many problems you will have with the students then yes it will be good, if they don't then ...
As with most jobs it's the people around you that make or break it. I was a D+T teacher in an academy school and hated it but worked in a small rural school and loved it
